Overthink Comedy Club and Tipsy Bear Berlin brings to you another edition of Word On The Street, where some of Berlin's finest, internationally touring, and upcoming hilarious BIPOC and/or TIN (Trans, Intersex, Non-Binary) and/or GNC (Gender Non Conforming) and/or other Queer gems will take the stage to make you laugh. This is Berlin’s only QTIBIPOC abundant comedy night in English, every last Monday of the month.

This comedy night is an intersectional attempt by a Queer POC producer herself to pass the mic & expand the vibrant, diverse international English comedy scene in Berlin even further and create a safer, inclusive, paid, accessible and a fun stage for BIPOC and/or Queer artists with different comedy styles to share their craft. It is also a space to experiment and play with different genres of comedy like - musical comedy, improv comedy, storytelling comedy, sketch comedy, satirical spoken word and stand up comedy to name a few.

Sluts in Sarees is a collective of South Asian women who enjoy sex and fuck well. Moaning, throbbing, craving, and sometimes screaming, they rage about the absurdities of patriarchy, sing about sensuality, and commune with the erotic. Featuring: Madhvi and Nainy
Liliana Velåsquez aka LaDios aka our Headliner — Your Dominanny, Stand-Up Sadist, and Professional Switch Witch — fuses comedy, kink, and consciousness to deliver divine chaos with purpose. With 21 years face-out as a Dominatrix, she transforms taboo into truth and shame into laughter. A producer of iconic shows including Pussy Power Protest, Time To Shine, and Shameless Reclamation, LaDios uses stage and satire to celebrate liberation and amplify marginalized voices. Through her art and advocacy, she champions bodily autonomy, consent, and freedom of choice—because her rebellion is ritual, and her aftercare is rooted in ancestry.
The event is created & hosted by Berlin based, internationally touring and critically acclaimed independent standup comedian Anshita Koul from India. Anshita is also the co-founder of Clit Comedy Club and Festrogen Comedy Festival in Luxembourg. When she is not touring, they are performing, headlining, hosting and producing multiple comedy shows in Berlin under the collective Overthink Comedy Club.
Seen on the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy 2017, Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK and most recently as the opening act for Emmy Award Winner Vir Das’s European tour 2024, Anshita has created a name for themselves in the English comedy scene in Europe for creating intentional, political and thriving comedy spaces. And they like to lead by example with their political satires, punch up routines and a funny itch to decolonise standup comedy.
Anshita is touring with her new comedy storytelling special ‘Where Is Your Husband?’ It has just won the SoHo Playhouse award at Thessaloniki Fringe Festival and was invited to a 2 week run off Broadway in New York City early this year!
